1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you enter a competition, we collect:

• Your name
• Your social media handle(s)
• The script or written work you submit
• Any other information included in the entry form

Payment information

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe collects and processes payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We receive limited transaction information from Stripe, such as the amount paid, date, and confirmation that payment was successful.

Casting call and performer information

If you audition, are cast, or otherwise participate in a Write 7 in 7 production, we collect information needed to engage and pay you as a performer, including:

• Contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
• SAG-AFTRA and related deal/paperwork, which may include the last four digits of your Social Security number, for payroll and union reporting purposes

This paperwork is completed and signed through OpenSign and stored in a private, access-restricted Google Drive folder. We do not publish this information, and access is limited to those who need it to process casting, payroll, and union obligations.

Tracking and analytics information

We use tracking technologies to understand how visitors find and use the Site, including:

• Reddit Pixel — to measure the effectiveness of Reddit ads and understand traffic from Reddit
• Affiliate link tracking — to attribute referrals when someone reaches the Site through an affiliate or partner link

These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referral source, typically through cookies or similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Administer competitions and evaluate entries
• Process payments and fulfill purchases
• Communicate with entrants and customers (e.g., confirmations, results, support)
• Measure and improve the effectiveness of our marketing and affiliate programs

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Stripe, to process payments
• Reddit, through the Reddit Pixel, for advertising measurement
• Affiliate partners, limited to tracking that a referral occurred
• OpenSign, to facilitate signing of casting and union paperwork
• SAG-AFTRA and payroll processors, as required to fulfill union reporting and payment obligations for cast members
• Service providers who help us run the Site, competitions, or productions, bound by confidentiality obligations
• Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights

If you win or place in a competition, your name, social media handle, and/or submitted script may be published publicly (e.g., on the Site or social media) as part of announcing results. We will make clear at the point of entry if this applies.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as the Reddit Pixel and affiliate tracking scripts) to recognize your browser, measure traffic sources, and support the functionality above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.

5. Data Retention

We retain competition entries, payment records, casting paperwork, and related information for as long as needed to administer competitions and productions, meet accounting, tax, and union reporting obligations, and comply with legal requirements.

6. Data Security

We restrict access to sensitive information, such as SAG-AFTRA paperwork containing partial Social Security numbers, to a private Google Drive folder accessible only to those who need it. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Your Rights and Choices

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
